Welcome to Hash House Harriets Penang

Yes, Harriets. No, you don’t have to be one.

We started way back in 1972 as a women-only hash. Back then, thanks to the Australian Air Force base, we had plenty of fabulous women to keep things running.

Then the base downsized… and they all went home.

Oops.

So what did we do?
Did we fold? Never!
Did we panic? Briefly.
Did we let the men join? Eventually.

These days we’re a mixed hash — but still proudly run by women (as all good things should be 😉).

We’re friendly. We’re welcoming. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Whether you run, jog, shuffle, power-walk or mostly socialise, you’ll fit right in.

Our motto says it best:
“The Club Where You Want To Be!”

📍 We run every Thursday at 5:30pm somewhere around the island.
